Liene Ķeķere: “Already one month is left but NGO Humana People to People in Latvia still remember experience and live in good memories from Erasmus + project ” Quality of Intercultural Sensitiveness ” in Diyarbakir, Turkey.
Seminar aimed to train youth workers, youth leaders, teachers, social workers on use the Milton J. Bennett model in their daily work and lives in order to improve their intercultural competence to work with different target groups. Phases of the model have been understood by youth workers and shared methods, tools and techniques how they can support young people from different cultural background to reach the certain phase or go forward to the next phase in local level then invent new projects.
Great work together, coooperations, sharing of knowledges/experiences, new life for friendships with trainers and participants from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Lithuania and Turkey. After training we have used the aspects of the model – those has been adapted for each of us individualy – for someone there are given more professional skills in work with young people but for other has come new personal competencies. Have returned from Diyarbakir with a lot of inspirations for new great ideas for next Erasmus + projects!”
